EU financial assistance aims to help Armenia weather the crisis

The EU has agreed a loan of up to €65 million and a grant of up to €35 million to help Armenia through the global economic crisis. This macro financial assistance (MFA) will complement sector budget support programmes financed under the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI). The assistance is part of a package of external financing to cover Armenia’s balance of payment needs in 2011.
